My name is Matt Velick. I’m a broadcast designer & animator, editor, and writer.
I began my design career in interface design. I’m extremely empathetic to user experience and function in my approach to any project. I have a strong eye for good design. My typography is clean. My grammar fierce.
Good people are the heart of all great works, and I’ve been lucky to work with some wonderful teams. I’m as confident managing as I am in taking direction from a project leader. I bring organization, attention to detail, and a distinct perspective to every project.
Having worked on both vendor and client side in web, print, fashion, and broadcast television, I’m accustomed to tight creative deadlines. I’m familiar with all aspects of the post-production pipeline and know how to keep things moving effectively and on–schedule.
I also created an online literary webzine called Greasefire which featured submitted works of fiction, non-fiction and poetry and ran for four years. Our words live on, echoing in the pre-blog archives of Internet history. More recently I ran a blog about sandwiches, which my stomach found far more satisfying.
I’m interested in projects big and small, and would love to chat!
